The ‘Bloemencorso Bollenstreek Collection’ or Flower Parade of the Flower Bulb Region Collection by talented artist Simon Balyon. This isn’t any old exhibition; it’s an ode to 75 years of the Flower Parade of the Flower Bulb Region and was specially commissioned by Tulip Experience Amsterdam. Simon has been working on this nine-part series of oil paintings – that capture the beauty and cultural heritage of the Flower Bulb Region from Noordwijk to Haarlem – since 2021.
Meet Simon Balyon, the talented artist behind our art exhibition! Simon manages to paint wintery landscapes, summer scenes and serene beach views in his own unique way. Simon Balyon has fans around the world from America to Europe. His style? A great mix of impressionism (think: The Hague School) and the Romantic period in Dutch painting, inspired by influential painters such as Mesdag and Maris. In short, an artist to keep an eye on and whose works you can admire at our Tulip Experience.
What started in 2021, has now developed into a fascinating series celebrating the flower parade of the Flower Bulb Region. So far, the paintings of Noordwijk, Voorhout and Sassenheim have already been unveiled and we can’t wait for the addition of Lisse and Hillegom in 2024. Two new masterpieces that continue our art adventure! We will continue expanding the collection until 2030, when we will be able to proudly present the entire, nine-part series of towns from Noordwijk to Haarlem.
